TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and purchases made through the Dan's Ceramics Studio website. By making a booking or purchasing a service or gift voucher, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Bookings
Bookings can be made through the online booking system on the website or by contacting Dan's Ceramics Studio directly.
After completing a booking, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.
A booking is confirmed once the booking has been accepted and payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.
The price of each workshop is shown on the relevant workshop page at the time of booking. For individually arranged services, the price will be agreed with the customer before the booking is confirmed.
A booking is valid only for the date and time stated in the booking confirmation.
2. Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in euros (EUR).
Payment can be made using the payment methods available on the website or by bank transfer where agreed.
Online card payments are processed through Stripe.
For bank transfer payments, the customer will receive the necessary payment details by email.
A place on a workshop is guaranteed once the payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellation and Changes
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us at info@dansceramics.com.
Cancellation more than 24 hours before the workshop
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, you may choose:

a 100% refund of the amount paid, or
-
a free transfer to another available date.
Refunds for online payments are normally made using the same payment method used for the original payment.
Cancellation less than 24 hours before the workshop
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the payment is normally non-refundable.
Subject to availability and agreement, we may allow the booking to be transferred once to another available date.
No-show
If you do not attend the booked workshop and do not cancel in advance, the payment is non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person, provided that we are informed in advance.
In cases of sudden illness or another serious unforeseen circumstance, Dan's Ceramics Studio may, at its discretion, offer an alternative solution.
Cancellation by Dan's Ceramics Studio
In exceptional circumstances, such as technical, organisational or health reasons, Dan's Ceramics Studio may cancel or reschedule a workshop.
In such a case, you will be offered an alternative date or a 100% refund of the amount paid.
Dan's Ceramics Studio is not responsible for additional costs related to attending the workshop, such as travel or accommodation.
4. Workshops and Ceramic Process
Unless otherwise stated, our workshops are suitable for beginners. The workshop price includes the materials and services specified in the individual workshop description. Depending on the workshop, this may include clay, tools, glazes and firing of the finished pieces.
Ceramic pieces require time to dry, be glazed and fired after the workshop. The estimated completion time is approximate and may vary depending on the drying process, kiln capacity and other circumstances.
Because ceramics are handmade and undergo a natural firing process, small differences in colour, shape, size, surface and texture are normal and are not considered defects.
Cracking, warping or breakage can occasionally occur during drying or firing even when standard ceramic procedures are followed. Dan's Ceramics Studio cannot guarantee that every piece will survive the entire ceramic process.
5. Collection of Finished Pieces
You will be informed by email when your finished pieces are ready for collection.
Finished pieces should be collected at the agreed time or by prior arrangement.
If you are unable to collect your pieces within a reasonable period, please contact us to arrange another collection time.
Delivery of finished pieces may be arranged separately and may incur an additional fee.
6. Safety
Customers must follow the instructions of the instructor and the safety rules of the studio.
Customers work with clay, tools, glazes and other studio equipment at their own responsibility and must use the equipment as instructed.
Parents or responsible adults are responsible for supervising children where required by the particular workshop.
Please inform us in advance of any circumstances that may affect your safe participation in the workshop.
Dan's Ceramics Studio may refuse or end participation if a person's behaviour creates a safety risk to themselves, other participants, the instructor or studio equipment.
7. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with a service or believe that it was not provided as agreed, please contact us at info@dansceramics.com.
Please include your name, booking date or booking number and a description of the issue.
Complaints will be handled in accordance with applicable Slovak legislation.
8. Right of Withdrawal
For workshops and other leisure activities booked for a specific date or period, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract does not apply where the conditions for this statutory exception are met.
This does not affect the cancellation rights described in the Cancellation and Changes section above.
For services or products to which a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the customer has the rights provided by applicable law.
9. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers issued by Dan's Ceramics Studio are valid for 6 months from the date of payment, unless a different validity period is stated on the voucher.
The gift voucher is transferable and may be used by another person.
The voucher can be used only for the workshop or service specified on the voucher, unless otherwise agreed with Dan's Ceramics Studio.
The gift voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
If the selected workshop costs more than the value of the voucher, the difference can be paid by the customer.
If the selected workshop costs less than the value of the voucher, the remaining amount is not refundable in cash.
A booking must be made in advance and is subject to availability.
The usual cancellation and no-show conditions also apply to bookings made using a gift voucher.
A gift voucher is no longer valid after its expiry date. Unused vouchers are not refundable or automatically extended after expiry.
10. Personal Data
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the Privacy Policy available on the Dan's Ceramics Studio website.

Final Provisions
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic.
Dan's Ceramics Studio reserves the right to reasonably amend or update these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions applicable at the time of the booking or purchase shall apply.
